Baby Sister

I have been taking lots of baby sister pictures in the past few weeks but when my own baby sister came over for the 4th of July looking so adorable I had to take some pictures. (I can't help it, I'm 7 years older and I still think she's as cute as can be.) Xoxo to my little Bean.

Baby Plan

I just wanted to share a quick picture of one of our baby plan kids. Miss E is now 9 months. Just look at those baby blue's, isn't she adorable? Next time we'll be smashing the cake.

Dee Snider With my Favorite Twisted Sister

Our friend Jennifer Sall has been a busy girl since our headshot session. We did our session because Jen got a new haircut and wanted to update her pictures. If you didn't recognize her before I think you might now. She's working the new do! Here's some of her recent work.

"Yes I said yes I will Yes. "

Yes, I'm a cry baby. I've been a little emotional these days because my baby, yes I still think of all 3 of them as my babies, is no longer in junior high. In this weakened state I opened an email with the above picture. The tears rolled down my cheeks as I saw my images hanging in her home. How lucky she is. Part of me envies her. She is in the midst of all those precious days that are now, for me, the memories I try so hard not to let fade. I know that I too am fortunate though. My "little one" will not go with me to see the new Disney Pixar movie Brave but we did go together to pick out the dress for her 8th grade formal. A day I've dreamed about since the paper in the envelope from the ultra sound tech said girl 94%. It brings me so much joy to be able to watch all these new families grow. It doesn't seem that long ago that we brought our own little daughter home from the hospital and now she is going to high school. If you felt a little pang in your heart when you read this let it serve as a reminder. Don't forget to have your family portraits taken even if you don't come to me. Get them scheduled. Repeat after me, I will yes.

Prom Pictures

Spring is the beginning of our busy season at Mettler Portraits and this year is no exception. We have had lots of new babies and some wonderful family and sibling session not to mention one of my favorite events, our baby chick sessions. I have little control over when they will hatch and this year it was over prom weekend. When Maddie called to ask if she could schedule a prom dress session I was determined to find the time. She is a beautiful girl and it was so much fun to see her and take these pictures. This was one of my favorite shots.

If you are ready to schedule your senior pictures this summer be sure to ask about our 2 day sessions. Come on the first day with all your favorite casual outfits and come the next with your hair done and your prom dress. You may love your dress longer than your prom date. Let's get some pictures!
