Making New Friends

We met so many new friends at Valentines for a Cure this year including these two cuties. This year we raised over $350 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. That's up more than $150 from last year! If you missed it be sure to go to our website and sign up to get our newsletter.

We call our event Nathaniel's Valentines for a Cure but our donations go to help all those battling this illness and this year we met two more Cystic Fibrosis warriors. Life threatening Childhood diseases are heartbreaking but so many advances are being made with the fundraising efforts of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We anxiously await the day that Nathaniel's mom tells us that CF stands for cure found. Thank you for your help.

Valentines for a Cure is over for another year. We simply can't express the gratitude we feel to all of you who participated this year. We saw many of our favorite friends and met some new ones including two more children with Cystic Fibrosis.  Your donations make a difference to so many children and young adults. Another advance in the fight against cystic fibrosis was announced the other day.

Valentines for a Cure

This Friday and Saturday we are holding our 3rd annual Valentines for a Cure.

A portion of each session and every order will go to finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

Matilda Jane Trunk and Portrait Party

It's a Wonderful Parade! Matilda Jane's new line of super cute spring clothing is debuting next month and we thought it would be fun to invite you over to see it. Bring the kids over 2/22 at 10am. I'll have my camera to capture the fun.

Things to Look Forward to in 2014

We have a lot going on in 2014 but I think what I am most excited about is my friend Jenn Moylan joining our team. When I decided to make photography my career I knew from the start  I needed to set myself apart from the growing number of new photographers jumping into the field. I did that by going back to school. My first photography class was in 1985. Digital? Photoshop? What? Yep, I learned photography back in the film days. I met Jenn when I went back to school to learn the digital side in 2008. We became fast friends and I'm so happy she is now part of Mettler Portraits.

January 31 and Feb. 1 Jenn and I will be holding our third annual Valentines for a Cure. Just like previous years our mini sessions are $40 and $20 from each session will go to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Included in your session fee are $40 photo valentines. February 22 we are planning a Matilda Jane Trunk and Portrait Party.
