About Me

Julie Mettler, CPP: Custom photography for your home. I have been interested in photography since high school and was an art major in college. I have three children of my own but because of my love of children was called to work as a preschool teacher and also ran a home daycare for a time. Photography is the perfect pairing of two things I love, children and photography. In July of '08 I learned that an entry I sent into a contest at Photographer's Forum Magazine (co-sponsored by Canon) was selected to be published as a finalist in the "Best of Photography Annual 2008". Ask to see it when you stop by! I was also published in '09, the last time I submitted. I am a proud member of Professional Photographers of America. In '10 I recieved my certification and at that time was one of less than 70 Certified Professional Photographers in the State of Illinois. I am currently a 2017 Certification Liaison. This year for the first time I entered the International Photographic Competition and I am now an Internationally Award Winning Portrait Artist. Fun facts, I love chocolate but I might love cheese more. Embarrassing confession, after seeing the movie Jaws as a child I was afraid to sit on the toilet.
